My Promise to You

What’s in, what’s out.

We’ve taken every care to make sure that we use only the best ingredients for your skin. This means that, on average, our products are 95% natural, with some wonderful botanical extracts sourced (responsibly) from all over the world.

A few examples of which are:

  • Organic Kalahari Watermelon Seed Oil – certified by Phyto Trade Africa.
“A binding commitment to environmental sustainability and long term fair trade with rural producers in Southern Africa”.
  • Amazonian White Clay
    Sustainable sourcing certified by Eco-Cert
  • Lady Thistle Oil
Extracted from renewable sources in collaboration with agricultural specialists and cultivators
  • Organic Tahitian Monoi
Organically produced by the Tahitian Producers Association

and added to those, imagine fresh fruit cells of kiwi and strawberry, fresh pumpkin cells and Kakadu Plum Extract – all working together to help give your skin the vitamins, minerals, proteins and all-round goodness it needs.

Many people today talk about “natural products” when in fact they may not meet the stringent criteria we believe is necessary. Whilst there is not a legal definition of natural there is becoming a common acceptance that if a product contains at least 95% natural ingredients it is deemed to be “natural”.

However, what about the 5% that isn’t natural? Just because these ingredients are not labelled as natural it doesn’t mean that they are not good ingredients. These are ingredients that help preserve the product, make the products easy and lovely to use, and of course, the fragrance, which we hope you love. As with all our ingredients these are all sourced according to a strict ethical policy

Ingredients we would never use…

We don’t include parabens, sulphates or petrochemicals. Parabens, a type of preservative, have had a bad press, the case for which is still not proven, therefore we do not use them. Sulphates and petrochemicals, on the other hand, entirely deserve their status as undesirables.

Testing

None of our ingredients or products are tested on animals.

If you have any questions about our ingredients that you can’t find the answer to here, please just e-mail us at [email protected] and we’ll be delighted to help.

The whole Elizabeth’s Daughter range has been tested by girls in the course of its development and we have taken every care to ensure that the products are not only ideal for your skin but a pampering luxury to use every day.

The most important thing is that you enjoy using them.

Best Wishes
